At Lower Plenty Dental, we understand you. While we all need to have patience and commitment to see our dental treatments through, it may be challenging for some to spend a year or more with metal braces on their teeth. We offer nearly undetectable clear aligners custom-made for your teeth and a treatment plan created with advanced digital technology, providing predictable and successful treatment outcomes. Begin your smile journey.

Why Choose Invisalign?

  • Invisalign aligners are virtually invisible, allowing you to straighten your teeth without drawing unnecessary attention.

  • They are custom-made to fit your teeth comfortably, minimising discomfort often associated with metal brackets and wires used in traditional braces.

  • Unlike traditional braces, Invisalign aligners can be removed for eating, brushing, and special occasions, allowing for more flexibility in your daily routine.

  • Keeping Invisalign aligners clean is simple, as they can be taken out for brushing and flossing, ensuring better oral hygiene throughout treatment.

  • The innovative technology in Invisalign treatments allows for more accurate treatment planning and predictable results.

  • With the ability to remove aligners while eating, you can enjoy your favourite foods without worrying about causing damage to your braces or getting food stuck

  • Invisalign treatments often require fewer visits to the dentist’s office than traditional braces, which can appeal to individuals with busy schedules.

Invisalign Treatment In Lower Plenty

At Lower Plenty Dental, our treatments go beyond aesthetic elements, focusing on long-term oral health that’s visible in your smile and overall well-being. We begin your treatment with an initial consultation, assessing the condition of your teeth, oral health, and the cause of your misalignment. This allows us to understand your concerns and the result you wish to achieve. If Invisalign aligners align with your needs, we’ll craft a tailored treatment plan to help you achieve your smile goals.

The Invisalign Process

We’ll capture precise impressions of your teeth, sending them to Invisalign laboratories for processing. These images will be digitised to provide a computerised 3D image of your teeth. Through this digital blueprint, we’ll choreograph the movements of your teeth across the entire treatment timeline, showing you a virtual representation of how your teeth will look before, during, and after Invisalign, ensuring alignment with your expectations. Once you agree to the treatment plan, your new aligners are custom-made to ensure a flawless and comfortable fit. Each aligner will have to be worn for approximately two weeks, and then you will switch to the next aligner in the series. While the number of aligners varies for everyone, a complete treatment typically includes 18-36 aligners for both the upper and lower teeth, which will take approximately 9-18 months, depending on your case.

Some Guidelines…

Aligners should be worn day and night, except when eating, brushing, or flossing teeth, to complete your treatment in the timeline determined by our dentists. The required time is 22 hours daily for optimal results. We will need to see you every 4-6 weeks to monitor your progress and receive your next aligner series. You’ll notice a gradual improvement during treatment as your teeth move into an even and healthy smile. At the end of your treatment, we’ll provide you with clear retainers to help cement your new smile in place. It’s important to note that while Invisalign excels in subtle teeth alignment, more complex bite discrepancies may require traditional braces. It’s a preferred option for teenagers and adults who want discreet smile straightening solutions for minor teeth misalignments. Our dentists can help guide you towards the most suitable treatment after the initial consultation. If braces or Invisalign may not suit your specific case, we can refer you to a specialist for additional treatment options.

FAQs

Impacted wisdom teeth are almost sure to cause problems if left in place. This is particularly true of the lower wisdom teeth. Such problems may occur suddenly and often at the most inconvenient times.
It is generally recommended that impacted wisdom teeth be removed between the ages of 14 and 22 years, whether they are causing problems or not. Surgery is technically easier, and patients recover much more quickly when younger. A relatively minor operation at 20 can become complex in patients over 40. Also, the risk of complications increases with age, and the healing process is slower.
It may be advisable to have them removed before travelling if you are going to an area where specialist dental services and antibiotics are not readily available.
Generally, no. Surgery in the presence of infection can cause infection to spread and become more serious. Firstly, the infection must be controlled by local oral hygiene, antibiotics and sometimes the extraction of the opposing wisdom tooth. Antibiotics are a short-term solution for impacted wisdom teeth.
